Why get an address in Alaska

The largest U.S state by square miles alone, Alaska has long been a land of mystery and beauty. With its far north location and wild terrain, tourists flock there for a taste of the outdoors, yet the state remains the third least populated in all of the U.S. This is due in part to the unique seasonal cycles which cause long, dark, and frigid winters, with the summers fleeting and cool. Alaska was originally a territory, until it was declared a state in 1959. The industries that are prevalent in this state are also very specific to the natural resources available; fishing, natural gas, and oil. Despite being small in population, Alaska makes up for it by grossing one of the largest per capita state incomes. In recent years, Alaska has begun to see some significant growth as well in wind and hydroelectric energy as well; yet despite progress, diesel is still the main source of both energy and revenue for the state's economy. A large portion of the land in this vast state is also carefully preserved by the federal government as public land such as wildlife refuges, national parks, and national forests, as Alaska has an array of species not found anywhere else in the world. Alaskan natives make up 15% of the population, who fall into various tribes tracing their ancestry back to the original settlement of Alaska via the Bering Land Bridge. There is a stunning tapestry of indigenous culture here, and many of the local decisions are made by their councils. The most unique part of Alaska as a U.S State? It is separated from Washington by about 500 miles of British Columbia, Canada. It is the most northern and western part of the U.S but also the most easterly, as the Aleutian Islands extend into the eastern hemisphere. Maritime shipping in Alaska is also a massive part of how this state contributes to the U.S, with hundreds of registered shipping companies and vessels carrying goods up and down the coast.
