Swiss Post and Earth Class Mail have announced a strategic partnership in which Switzerland’s esteemed national post will license Earth Class Mail’s technology to introduce online postal mail to customers from around the world who seek addresses in countries where Swiss Post operates. Like Earth Class Mail, Swiss Post will send customers email alerts notifying them of their newly scanned sealed envelopes. The alerts will appear like this:

During the initial pilot phase, which will launch in June, Swiss Post will provide this service to corporations, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, small businesses, and individual customers from all over the world who seek mail service or addresses in Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, and Austria.

In the second phase of the rollout, which is anticipated by the end of the year, Swiss Post will bring the service to Belgium, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.
