Meet the New Earth Class Mail: Scan View

By David Widner, Earth Class Mail

If you’ve visited our website recently, you’ve probably noticed that we’re getting ready to launch something significant in our company’s history: the first-ever stem-to-stern redesign of our online postal-mail application.

Over the past several months, our developers have rebuilt our product from the ground up, with a goal of making paper mail as quick and easy to read and manage as email, and with design elements and features that our customers are well-acquainted with in popular email platforms, as you can see below:

The new application has been available to our customers in a Beta phase for a few weeks now, and we’ll officially release it in mid-June. Over the next several blog entries, I’ll spotlight the most important — and fun-to-use — new features of the redesigned app and why, collectively, they represent a game-changing advance for our service.

In the soon-to-be decommissioned Earth Class Mail application, users who had the contents of a mail item securely scanned would then need to download a PDF file containing the scan images in order to read the enclosed letter or document.

They can still access and archive those PDFs in the new application if they choose to, but we thought we’ve provide them with a way to see the contents as quickly and conveniently as possible. With our new scan-view feature (shown in the screen shot above), they can read their letters right in the browser window, just like they would read email messages.

It makes sorting through important mail much faster, and as we know from testimonials, time is a precious commodity to our globetrotting, multi-tasking customers.
