Earth Class Mail has check deposit solutions that meet a variety of needs and can scale as you grow. A check is one of the most important pieces of mail you can get — why delay transforming it into cash you can access, or use a lockbox that meets only some of your needs?
We offer two convenient ways to deposit your checks:

Pay per deposit
Occasionally, you get a check in your inbound mail. Why delay the deposit of that check by having us send it to you, then making a special trip to the bank to deposit it? Or even worse, trusting that deposit to a neighbor or relative if you are not in the same location as your bank? With no monthly commitment fee, we can deposit your check safely and securely into any bank you choose. With a phone call and a one-time all-inclusive fee, we will handle all the work by sending your check via tracked USPS Priority mail to your bank. What could be easier or more secure?
Unlimited deposits
Earth Class Mail’s unique technology and easy user-interface, combined with the payment-processing engine of our deposit partner, gives you all the convenience, safety and security of a lockbox, with so many more features.
Similar to a lockbox, select one of our addresses, and after underwriting approval by our deposit partner, direct your remittances to that address. Tell us check by check, or instruct us to auto-deposit everything that comes to that address ? you are in control while we do the work! In addition to the traditional lockbox service, we allow you to choose any number of banks to direct your deposits to ? you are not limited to one bank with our service. We will also send you a scan of not only the check, but also any remittance advice or correspondence that is mailed with your checks. You will get a daily statement summarizing all deposit activity. What could be more convenient and flexible?
We can handle any volume of checks ? nothing is too large! If you have a very high volume of checks, we can create a custom plan that provides the security and flexibility that you need at a price that you value.
Why Earth Class Mail check deposit instead of the new Phone Apps?
Several banks offer check deposit for the iPhone. You simply sign up with your bank, and if you qualify, you can use your iPhone to take a picture of the check to deposit it into your account. While not all banks offer this, with JPMorgan Chase adding support in their Chase Mobile app, many are following suit. Even PayPal has launched an iPhone app to allow you to deposit checks directly into your PayPal account. With this kind of convenience, why would anyone still use Earth Class Mail check deposit?
One-stop depositing
One of the big differences with using Earth Class Mail to deposit your checks is that we can deposit to any number of banks, and any number of accounts. This can come in handy if you happen to use different banks for different aspects of your business, or even just different accounts at the same bank. With phone-based check deposit you have to install an app for every bank - so one for your bank, and one for PayPal, etc. If you need to deposit checks to different places this can get cumbersome. You may also find that your bank doesn't even offer phone-based deposit.
Where do most of your checks come from?
Most people receive their checks in the mail. Which means you have to open your mail and use your phone to scan it. For a couple of checks a month this isn't so bad, but if you receive dozens of checks a month, this can get tedious.
Since Earth Class Mail is already receiving your mail, we can process your checks too, without you ever touching the check. We'll even automatically detect which pieces of mail have checks and which don't, so you can always get to your checks quickly and decide when and where to deposit them.
Customized limits
Each bank that offers phone-based deposit has their own signup process. This determines whether you qualify (based on credit rating, amongst other things), as well as the size and number of checks you can deposit in a month. Most banks set these limits low ($1000-$3000) to keep the underwriting process simple. If you happen to deposit a few large checks, or even dozens of small checks a month, you may exceed these limits.
With Earth Class Mail we work directly with the underwriter to help you customize your limits to suit your use. You can enroll by filling out our online form. After an initial credit check, your limits are set based on your planned use and past credit history. We can then adjust these limits based on your needs and additional substantiating financial information, such as past bank account history.
Flexibility
If you receive a lot of checks, you may want to set up an address just for processing checks. With Earth Class Mail, you can set up rules so that checks going to a particular address get automatically deposited. We’ll even keep the digital copy for your records.
